Allison Herrin, CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Allison Herrin was born and raised in Waycross. She is a graduate of Ware County Senior High School and The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Speech and Hearing Association. She worked two years in the Wayne County School system before going into private practice in 2002. She presently is the owner of The Speech Clinic with offices in Waycross, Brunswick and Jesup, Georgia. She is co-owner of the The Speech Clinic of the Coastal Empire on Wilmington Island outside of Savannah, Georgia.
She has experience treating a wide range of communication disorders including: speech impairments, pediatric and adult language disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, voice abnormalities, pediatric and adult dysphagia, and motor speech disorders. She has worked with numerous populations including: developmentally delayed, autism, traumatic brain injury, hearing impaired, failure to thrive, stroke, ADHD, laryngeal and cancer patients, Down syndrome and other genetic disordered patients. In 2016, she received the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE).
Locally, she is a member of P.E.O., YMCA Board of Directors and a sustaining member of the Waycross Service League and Camilla Garden Club. She is a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear, where she serves on the youth committee and is chairman of the wellness committee. She and her husband, Brian, live in Patterson with their daughters, Caroline, Natalie, and Jenna and their son, Jones. She enjoys reading, shopping and exercising in her spare time.
Shelonda Porter, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Shelonda Porter was born and raised in Waycross and graduated from Waycross High School. She served five years in the United States Army and completed tours of duty in Frankfurt, Germany and Augusta, Georgia. She is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Speech Language Pathology and a Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Speech and Hearing Association. She worked two years in the Pierce County School system, where she was elected as Special Education Teacher of the Year (2001-2002). In 2003, she began her own company, Premier Therapy Solutions, LLC., to provide contract speech therapy services throughout the community. She has provided a variety of services with Rehabilitation companies in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health, Early Intervention in homes and daycares, and a Private Clinic. She has been a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist with the Babies Can't Wait Early Intervention Program since 2003 and The Speech Clinic since 2009.
Shelonda has experience working with infants through adults. Her focus remains on the pediatric population. She has experience treating a wide range of communication disorders including: articulation/phonological disorders, pediatric and adult language disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, voice abnormalities, pediatric and adult feeding and swallowing disorders, oral motor disorders, Apraxia, Central Auditory Processing Disorders, and sensory issues. She has worked with numerous populations including individuals with: developmental delays, prematurity, autism, traumatic brain injuries, hearing impairments, failure to thrive, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, cancer and stroke patients, and other genetic disordered patients.
Locally, she is a member of the Chi Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, in which she serves as the Financial Officer. She is a member of Kingdom Dominion Ministries, where she is the Coordinator of the church bookstore. She and her husband, Mesiah, live in Waycross and are the parents of two sons, Mesiah, Jr., and Mekhi, and two daughters, Morgan and Malaya. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, shopping, and spending time at the beach.
Heather Simmons, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Heather Simmons was born and raised in Manor, Georgia. She is a graduate of Ware County Magnet School and Valdosta State University. She holds a B.S.Ed. with a Major in Communication Disorders and a M.Ed. in Communication Disorders. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a Georgia Teaching Certificate for Speech and Language Pathology. She is licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia. Heather has worked in private practice since 2012 and has been practicing at The Speech Clinic since 2013.

Locally, she is a member and serves on the board of the Waycross Service League. She is a member of Kettle Creek Church. She and her husband, Jon, live in Millwood with their son, Jake. She enjoys reading, shopping and travelling in her spare time.
Janna Wright, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Janna Wright was born and raised in Patterson. She has a passion for helping others find their voice and believes “there is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.” She is a graduate of Pierce County High School and Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Communication Disorders and a Masters of Education in Communication Disorders. She earned a specialist degree in Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Speech and Hearing Association. She has worked for seventeen years in the public school system and has contracted with The Speech Clinic for fifteen years.
She has experience treating a wide range of communication disorders including speech impairments, pediatric language disorders, fluency disorders, and pragmatic disorders. She has worked with numerous populations including autism, developmentally delayed, ADHD, Down syndrome, hearing impaired, traumatic brain injury, and other genetic disorders.
Janna is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Beta Xi chapter. She is also a sustaining member of the Waycross Service League, and she is a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear.
Ashley Bell, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Ashley began specialized pediatric and adult occupational therapy care in 2019 for the Waycross and Jesup offices. She was born and raised in Savannah, GA and now resides in Blackshear, GA with her husband Alex Bell, who is a physical therapist (Go team therapy!). She is a graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory High School in 2012. She then earned her Bachelor of Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University in 2016 and her Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from Augusta University in 2019. She is nationally certified under the NBCOT and licensed to practice OT in the state of Georgia. She is also an active member of AOTA. Ashley has experience in a wide variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, preschools, elementary schools, and outpatient care. She has experience working with various diagnoses including orthopedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, dyspraxia, ADHD, developmentally delayed, and more. Down Syndrome awareness holds a special place in Ashley’s heart after her role in the summer of 2017 as a caregiver buddy for actor Zack Gottsagen of the popular movie “The Peanut Butter Falcon”. She is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Waycross and Waycross Service League. She has hobbies of traveling, cooking, shopping, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. Ashley recently took on a role of being a clinical instructor and enjoys giving back to her profession through mentoring students. Ashley and her husband Alex are excited to welcome their first baby girl in May 2021!
Emily Barefield, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Emily Bennett was born and raised in Waycross. She is a graduate of Ware County High School. She is a proud Double Dawg following graduation from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Education in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and the Georgia Speech-Language Hearing Association. She holds a Georgia Educator Certificate in Speech & Language Pathology. She has experience with treating children and adults in various settings, including preschools, elementary schools, acute care/inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient care.
Emily has experience with treating a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders including: speech impairments, pediatric and adult language disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, vocal abnormalities, adult dysphagia, and motor speech disorders. She has worked with numerous populations including: developmentally delayed, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, auditory processing disorder, Down syndrome, and stroke. She has completed Level 1 training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and standardized clinical training in Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP). She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, and cooking.
Sabrina Smith, CCC-SLP

Sabrina Smith was born and raised in Waycross. She is a graduate of Ware County Senior High School and Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Speech and Hearing Association. She worked 2 years in skilled nursing facilities, 7 years in home health, and now in private practice. She has experience treating a wide range of communication disorders including: speech impairments, pediatric and adult language disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, voice abnormalities, adult dysphagia, cognitive impairments, and motor speech disorders. She has worked with numerous populations including: patients with dementia, developmentally delayed, autism, traumatic brain injury, stroke, ADHD, laryngectomees, head and neck cancer patients, Down syndrome and other genetic disordered patients. She is a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, where she serves the children in the nursery & school age children’s church. She and her husband, Scott, live in Waycross with their two children, Raigan and Radlee. She enjoys shopping, going to the beach, and watching her Georgia Bulldogs football in her spare time.
Tracy Reid, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Tracy Reid is from Waycross originally and now resides in Blackshear, Georgia. She is a graduate of Ware County Senior High School and Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and a Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia and holds a Georgia Teaching Certification for Speech and Language Pathology. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Georgia Organization of School Speech-Language Pathologists. Tracy has been a Speech-Language Pathologist with the public schools system since 1999 and has had experience contracting with The Speech Clinic in the past. She began again contracting with The Speech Clinic in 2021 and enjoys it immensely. Tracy has experience treating a wide range of communication disorders including: speech impairments, pediatric language disorders, fluency disorders, and pragmatic language disorders. She has worked with numerous populations including autism, developmental delayed, ADHD, Down syndrome, hearing impaired, traumatic brain injury, and other genetic disorders. Tracy is a member of First United Methodist Church in Waycross. She lives with her husband, children, and dogs. She enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to live music, and going to the beach.
Kaylee Musselwhite, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Kaylee grew up in Hazlehurst, GA and now resides in Blackshear. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 2008. She then obtained her B.S. in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University in 2012 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of North Georgia in 2015. She is licensed in the state of Georgia under the FSBPT. Kaylee has a wide variety of experience in acute care, ortho, early intervention, and outpatient pediatrics. She enjoys working in all areas, but her heart is in pediatrics. Kaylee is an active member of Bridge Church in Blackshear where she serves in student ministries and missions. She and her husband, Tyler, live in Blackshear with their two daughters, Liza Kate and Lanie Reese.
Stephanie Harwood OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Stephanie is a recent graduate from Keiser University, December of 2022 for my Masters and Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapist. Prior to getting her license as an OTR/L, she was a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L) for 7 years. She specialized in adults and skilled nursing. She began working with pediatrics at the start of 2023 in the Waycross offices, after she completed her clinical fieldwork at The Speech Clinic, and realize how rewarding and exciting working with children can be. She is nationally certified under the NBCOT and licensed to practice OT in the state of Georgia. She currently is a member of the AOTA. She have experience working in various settings including skilled nursing, acute care, outpatient rehab and now pediatric outpatient setting. She has worked with various different types of diagnoses which include strokes, orthopedic injuries, dementia care, spinal cord injuries, ADHD, Cerebral palsy, Parkinson disease, and more. She was born in Malden, Massachusetts. She moved to Pensacola Florida in 2004, then to Waycross Georgia in 2006 after her first child was born. She has lived in Blackshear for 5 years with her 3 growing children. Her hobbies include painting, reading, doing puzzles, going to her children's sporting events and hanging out with her family. She is so very excited to have the opportunity to work with children at the Speech Clinic.
Glenda Lee
Office Administrator
Glenda Lee is the office manager for The Speech Clinic and is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the clinic and all billing responsibilities for the Brunswick, Jesup, and Waycross locations. She is a long- time resident of Pierce County. She is married to Larry R. Lee, Sr. and they have two children, Ron and Leslie. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, walking, and spending time with family.
Sharon Callaway
Office Administrator
Sharon Callaway is responsible for all scheduling and clerical operations in our Waycross location. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma and lived in Germany and many states until her father retired from the military. She has lived in Georgia for most of her adult life where she met and married her husband Dave. They have 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren. Their greatest joy is following the “Grands” in their numerous athletic and scholastic pursuits. Sharon enjoys reading, needle work, painting and cooking
